- Coyoacán: A colonial residential zone in the south side of the city
where Hernan Cortes once lived. The Plaza is especially lively and
colorful on Sunday. Trotsky's house can also be visited, as well as the
former home of Frida Kahlo. - 12 miles
- San Angel: A colonial residential area in the south side of the
city, containing many beautiful mansions. Bazaar Sabado is held at the
main plaza on Saturdays, where you will discover local artists and their
offerings as well as a fabulous fine arts and crafts area. - 12 miles
- Xochimilco: The famed "floating gardens" dating from Aztec times,
where colorful Mexican style gondolas are propelled along canals. Very
popular with locals on Sundays. - 16 miles
- Race Tracks: The city's all new race track complex features horse

- Ballet Folklorico: A spectacular presentation of traditional music,
dance and costumes from all corners of the country at the Palace of Fine

and novices from March through November at the largest bullfighting ring

- The Chapultepec Park is 2,100 acres of woods, fields, playgrounds,

by the UNESCO in 1998. See the main plaza, Metropolitan Cathedral,

Diego Rivera Mural Museum, Mexico City, San Carlos and San Ildefonso

- Basilica of the Virgin of Guadalupe: Mexico's holiest shrine marks
where the virgin of Guadalupe appeared before a humble Indian named Juan
Diego and is credited with helping convert the indigenous to
Catholicism. The Basilica is the world's most visited holy shrine. - 8

- Teotihuacan: This fascinating archeological site is located 3 miles
north of Mexico City and is home to the Moon and Sun pyramids. - 28
