The Atlantic
Salmon Federation built this conservation center to educate the public
about the interesting and endangered Atlantic salmon. The new facility was
built with local wood in the post-and-beam style to blend with the
surrounding landscape and reflect the ideals of conservation and respect for
nature. Your best bet is to the take the three-hour guided tour. A
professional will lead you through the "Salar's World" exhibit, the
stream-room exhibit, the mini-hatchery and along woodland trails while you
learn about and view salmon.

Situated on the Passamaquoddy Bay, St. Andrews is a picturesque town that
looks much the way it did in the early 1900s. British Loyalists found this
city when they fled New England after the Revolutionary War. This quiet burg
was largely overlooked until the late 1890s, when well-heeled city dwellers
flocked here to avoid the summer heat.
Visitors and travelers alike to St. Andrews are happy to find fine dining,
world class shops, important research facilities and historical sites all
within this small town. The city is indeed small but maintains a nice
cosmopolitan feel and spirit.
Shopping in St. Andrews means a pleasant stroll exploring the many unique
shops that line Water Street. The commercial district has a distinctive
character and appearance which can be attributed to the fact that it has not
changed significantly since the 1800's. The wares being offered here however
have changed, and today you will find a diverse selection of interesting
goods. From quality apparel to gifts with a local flavor, there is something
for everyone.
